990 load carriers arrive in Kahsmir, 888 left

Srinagar, Sep 4 (UNI) As many as 1878 load carriers departed and entered the Kashmir valley during the last 24 hours.

Of these, 990 trucks and tankers, carrying essential commodities and fuel, entered the valley and 888 laden with fresh fruit, vegetables and other commodities besides, empty tankers, left from the valley during the same period.

Stating this here today the spokesman of the Divisional Administration said that as many as 269 load carriers with rice, 27 with sugar, 42 with flour, seven with sheep, eight with chicken, 26 with fruit, 349 with other commodities, 47 with petrol, 81 with diesel, 30 with kerosene oil, 50 with LPG, one with milk entered the valley, while as many as 33 empty trucks, after off-loading goods outside, also returned in the same period.

He said of the 888 load carriers which departed from the valley with various goods included 296 carried fresh fruit, 45 vegetables, 175 other commodities as well as 372 empty which off-loaded fuel here.
