VHP creates ruckus over ''religious conversion''
Bareilly, Sep 3 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists created ruckus during ''Changai Sabha'', wherein they alleged forcible conversion of Hindus to Christianity.
The 'sabha' commenced on Sunday at the Mission compound here in the heart of the city to treat the sick people through prayers.
VHP workers created furore and reportedly beat up the priest and other representatives last evening.
Learning about the incident, the city magistrate reached the spot with his team. He pacified the mob and brought the situation under control.
Meanwhile, the priest condemned the incident and Mathodist Church's district superintendent V K Hariman ruled out the VHP's allegation of religious conversion.
