Teenage student crushed by blueline

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) A class X student was crushed to death by a blueline bus in Seelampur area of North-East Delhi this morning.

Sanchit Gupta (16), student of HMDAV school in Daryaganj, came under the rear wheel of a blueline bus while boarding it, police said.

The bus, plying on route no 236 (Anand Vihar to Nangloi), was trying to overtake another vehicle when the boy slipped and was crushed.

He was taken to the GTB Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Bus driver Karamveer was thrashed by the public and had to be admitted to hospital. He was arrested.

Later, students of his school took to the streets at Kashmere Gate and Seelampur and damaged passing vehicles as a protest against the incident.
