six people, including four children drowned in Karnataka

Bangalore, Sept 3 (UNI) Six people, including four children were drowned in two different incidents in Karnataka since last 24 hours.

Police said that Four children of a family drowned in a tank at Hirechowti in Sorab taluk of Shimoga district yesterday while playing. The Children, in the age group of six to 16, were identified as Amitha, Rakshita, Arpitha and Archana.

In the second incident Two boys who went for swimming were drowned in a tank at Ellagandi Thanda in Basavakalyan taluk in Bidar District today. However, two boys were rescued by the villagers.

the deceased were identified as Rahul (12) and Umesh (19).
