LF's intellectuals to Trinamool: Lift stir in 24-hours

Kolkata, Sep 3 (UNI) "Aei Samay," the Left's intellectuals forum, has threatened to launch its agitation immediately across the state, if the Opposition Trinamool Congress did not lift its stir from Singur within twenty-four hours.

''Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is a betrayer. She is also betraying the people and the upcoming generation of West Bengal by opposing the Tata's small car unit at Singur. We have already cleared the weed from the Katwa of Burdwan and now it has started on Singur'' the forum said.

According to the forum, the Tata's small car "Nano" neither belonged to Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee nor Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee.

''It is only for the people of the state and the youths having a dream for employment. Those who are opposing it we will be facing united resistance from them,'' the forum added.

The forum also alleged that the Trinamool Congress's motive was to take up its agitational programme to the parliamentary election.

''But the Lok Sabha Election is too late. Therefore, it is our duty to campaign unitedly to the people against the Opposition parties' anti-development movement in the state.

The stir against the Trinamool Congress's opposition on Nano project has been started from Kakdwip to Coochbehar, the forum said congratulating those who joined their agitation.

Kolkata Mayor Bikas Ranjan Bhattacharjee, eminent poet Subodh Sarkar, film personality Biplab Chatterjee, noted cricket player Sambaran Banerjee and football player Surojit Sengupta were among others were participating in the rally here.
