J'khand CM produced in court regarding Kurko killing
Giridih, Sep 3 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren was today produced in a local court in connection with more than three-decade old Kurko killing in which three persons had been killed in the district.
This was Soren's first appearance in the trial court after he became the chief minister a week back.
Soren appeared in the court of Additional district and Sessions judge (first) Radha Mohan Tiwary, which fixed October 3 as the next date of hearing.
The court recorded the statement of Soren, the only accused in the case.
There were altogether ten accused in the case of whom eight were acquitted while one died during trial.
The Kurko killing had taken place in 1974 under Peertand police station in the district.
