Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking Sevak at Bharuch

Ahmedabad, Sep 3 (UNI) Western Railway's Vadodara Division today started the first-ever Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking Sevak (JTBS) at Bharuch.

Fariduddin Z Lakdawala, appointed as the JTBS, shall run an agency at Bharuch, according to railway sources here. This agency appointed by Railway Administration shall issue Unreserved Railway Tickets of all destinations from Bharuch, using a computer terminal.

Now passengers will be able to purchase unreserved tickets from this agency on payment of additional Re 1 per ticket. Since the agency is operating in the city, the passengers need not have to wait in long queues at Railway stations to purchase the ticket and can directly board the train.

However, there will be no cancellation facility available at this agency.

Western Railway sources said that they were also planning to start such agencies at major cities like Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Ankleshwar, Bharuch and Godhra.
