International flights suffer delay

Chennai, Sept 3 (UNI) Four International flights suffered a delay of over half-an-hour as the computer system at the Anna International Airport here faced some technical problems from 0515 to 0610 hrs today.

Airport sources said as a result London-bound British Airways, Muscat-bound Oman Airlines, Kuwait-bound Gulf Airways and Colombo-bound Air India Express could not take off as the passengers got stuck at the immigration counter following the system failure.

Airport authorities swung into action and restored the systems' functioning by 0605 hrs.
