Heavy rainfall improves inflow into Mettur Dam
Tiruchirapalli, Sep 3 (UNI) The inflow into the Stanley Reservoir at Mettur across River Cauvery has been steadily increasing PWD source said this morning.
The level stood at 90.830 feet this morning against its full capacity of 120 feet with the inflow at 37,675 cusecs. The discharge was maintained at 13,000 cusecs.
From the Grand Anicut, 1,212 cusecs was discharged through River Cauvery, 7,511 cusecs through Vennar, 3,221 cusecs through Grand Anaicut Cannal and 1,209 cusecs through Coleroon for irrigation.
