Govt developing web-enabled ground water information system

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) is developing a web-enabled ground water information system for accessing ground water-related data, maps, and information policy planning and management.

The internet-based secured system would comprise of spatial data base infrastructure and a communication system, the Water Resources Ministry said today, adding, data would be disseminated as per map restriction policy of the government.

Software for better governance and management of resources and to provide people's interface in the system would be developed during the 11th Plan.
