Court hears assault charge against BSP MLA
Siwan, Sep 3(UNI) Criminal charges were today furnished against BSP MLA Amarendra Kumar Pandey alias Pappu for alleged assaulting inspector of Nautan police station Rajeesh Kumar Rajak in 2000.
Additional district and sessions judge Gyanshwar Srivastav after hearing criminal assault on policeman, granted the legislator of Kataiya assembly of Gopalganj district a provisional bail with a direction to appear on September 22.
The charges against him under sections 353, 335, 324 and 186 of IPC and under 27 firearms act.
Pandey had attacked the inspector of police on February 3, 2000.
Earlier the court had cancelled the bail prayer of the MLA following his non-appearance before the court.
