Cognress condoles Sharada Prasad death

New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) The Congress today expresed profound grief over the death of H Y Sharada Prasad, the former media advisor to former prime ministers Indira Gandhi, Morarji Desai and Rajiv Gandhi.

AICC Spokesman Manish Tewari said Prasad was a great scholar, journalist, a man of high ideals and principles.

"He is the legend who influenced the political psyche of the country," he said, while adding that the country had lost a great scholar, thinker and a freedom fighter.

Recalling his biographical works on Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, he said they occupied the highest tradition in the area of biographies.

"His ideas and thoughts were lucid and reflected the rich experience of Indian culture and ethos in politics." UNI SH PK UCS1942
