CITU flays decision over regularisation of daily wagers
Bhopal, Sep 3 (UNI) Alleging the Madhya Pradesh government's decision on the regularisation of state's daily wagers, the Centre of Indian Trade Union (CITU) today said that the decision was confusing, delayed and incomplete.
''It is not mentioned in the decision that on which post, pay scale and department 9,000 daily wagers are regularised,'' said CITU state General Secretary Promod Pradhan and Dainik Vetan Bhogi Union President Jagannath Bharti here today.
They said that as per the promise all daily wagers should be regularised under regular pay scale without any condition.
The officials stated that the additional provision of providing Rs 500 to the daily wagers, who completed 10 years in their service, and Rs 1000 to those who completed 20 years of their service as insufficient.
''As per Minimum Wage Act a skilled labour shall get atleast Rs 6,800 as salary hence in order to ensure this, state chief minister shall increase atleast Rs 2,000 to all the daily wagers' salaries,'' Mr Pradhan added.
