Southwest monsoon was vigorous over South Interior Karnataka and weak over Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at at many places over South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts in (cm): Chikodi, Chikkanahalli 7 each.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Jalihal, Sira, Huliyurdurga 5 each; Deodurg, Agumbe, Gowribidanur, Bellary, Tiptur 4 each, Banavasi, Hidkal Dam, Jayapura, N.R.Pura, Chintamani, Bargur 3 each, Londa, Tavaregere, Talikote, Kottigehara, Bangalore HAL Airport, Bangarpet, Kurugodu, Pavgada 2 each, Hukkeri, Yeragatti, Dharwad, Kalghatgi, Hanumasagar, Rabkavi, B.Bagewadi, Mysore, Thondebhavi, Bangalore City, Santhebennur, Chitradurga 1 each.
