BJP to set up war memorial in Arunachal
Itanagar, Sep 03 (UNI) The BJP has decided to set up a war memorial in the state in memory of the martyrs of 1857 Revolt.
The decision to this effect was taken by party's 'Cultural Cell' in its national convention held in New Delhi recently, party sources informed here today.
The proposed memorial would be set up at Yagrung in Pasighat, birth place of Matmur Jamoh who fought against the Britishers in the historic war at Abor in Yagrung, sources said.
The cultural cell of the party has also decided to work in the field of music, dance, theatre, literature, education, history and culture and ideology and resurgence of cultural nationalism, sources added.
