S M Talwar MTNL's new Executive Director for Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) Public sector telecom services provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today said it has appointed Mr S M Talwar as Executive Director for the Delhi circle.

''Mr Talwar has been promoted as Executive Director, MTNL Delhi and on superannuation of Mr A K Arora, he shall be taking over the charge of ED, MTNL Delhi from September 1,'' the telecom company said in a statement.

Prior to this, Mr Talwar was the Chief General Manager (South) for MTNL Delhi.

Mr Talwar has worked as Group General Manager in Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) from August 1995 to September 1998 for procurement of material for the overseas project.

From October 2000 to October 2006, he worked as Area General Manager in Thane and South area of MTNL Mumbai and after that he was promoted as Chief General Manager, Orissa Telecom Circle, in-charge for operation and maintenance of Telecom network.

During his tenure in Orissa, he also served as Institute of Electronics&Telecom Engineering's Chairman, the statement said.
