Jehadi literature seized in city
Ahmedabad, Sep 2 (UNI) Jehadi literature, directly linked with the accused in the Ahmedabad serial blasts case, was seized by police in the city today.
According to Detection of Crime Branch, more than two dozen books and other literature regarding Jehad were seized from a well near the world famous 'Sidi Saiyad ni Jali' here.
Himanshu Shukla, ACP, crime branch, told mediapersons that two books among the seized literature had been written by Mufti Abu Bashar, accused and mastermind in Ahemedabad blasts case, who is under police remand. Most of the other books were about Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
There were books and other documents giving detailed instructions to Jehadis on how to tackle police interrogation and how to behave in a post-operation (after carrying out terrorist strike). Some documents were about management of jehadi training camps. What type of physical trainings be imparted to the new and old recruits was also mentioned in the documents, written in Urdu language.
Police said the books and other documents were thrown near Sidi Saiyad ni Jaali after the blasts. Further investigations were on.
More arrests in this regard are expected in the coming days, police added.
