3 die after consuming contaminated water

Bangalore, Sep 2 (UNI) Three people, including two women, died and four fell ill after drinking contaminated water at Kallambella village in Tumkur district, about 120 km from here, yesterday.

Police said they had consumed borewell water which got mixed with sewage due to pipe burst. The dead were identified as Satyanarayana Rao, Sannarangamma and Obalamma.

Those who were taken ill were admitted to government hospital in Tumkur. Revenue and police officials visited the village.
