Vimal's first retail store in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sep 1: Vimal, the flagship textile brand of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), opened its first premium franchise retail store here. The show room was inaugurated by movie director Rituporno Ghosh. Offering never-before retailing experience such as custom tailoring and styling at this exclusive store, Vimal is also opening five SIS (shop-in-shop) with Khadims-Egaroo in the region.

These showrooms will now offer not just the latest fabric collections for premium menswear, but also the Vimal range of men's apparel shirts, trousers, suits and jackets. President Reliance Textile Anand Parekh said there was huge potential for growth in the eastern markets. The textile division has entered into a strategic tie-up with a US based company for building a strong supply chain platform to get a major foothold in the US automotive segment.
