Vayalar Ravi presents P V Sami Memoraial Award

Kozhikode, Sep 1 (UNI) Union Parliamentary and Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi today presented he prestigious P V Sami Memorial award to business tycoon B Ravi Pillai based abroad at a function here today.

Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development D Purandeswari presented citation, while Kerala Water Resources Minister N K premachandran presented the 'ponnada.' Leela Group Chairman Capt C P Krishanan Nair, Dubai-based businessman M A Yousufali and Asianet Chairman Rajeev Chandrasekhar, MP, were the recipients of the award earlier.

The award was instituted by P V Sami Memorial Trust in the name of freedom fighter and industrialist P V Sami.

A seminar on Indo-US nuclear deal was also held as part of the programme.
