Maruti August sales dip 9.2 per cent
New Delhi, Sept 1 (UNI) Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker, today said it has recorded a 9.2 per cent decline in its sales with 59,908 vehicles during August this year as against 65,968 vehicles during the same period a year ago.
The A1, A2, A3 and C category passenger car segments recorded 11 per cent decline during the month, the company said in a statement.
Altogether 59,944 passenger cars like Alto, Swift, Wagon-R and M-800 were sold in August, 2008 as against 53,351 units in the corresponding month last year.
According to the reports, this is Maruti's biggest decline in monthly sales since Feb 2006.
