Kasturirangan appointed State Knowledge Commission Chairman
Bangalore, Sep 1 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has appointed Rajya Sabha member and director of the National Institute of Advance Studies, Dr Kasturirangan as chairman of the newly- constituted 'State Knowledge Commission'.
The other members of the Commission include Dr M K Sridhar from Bangalore University, Dr Kutinho, former Vice Chancellor, Gulbarga University and Dr Nayanathara from Bangalore Institute of Management, a press release issued here today said.
The Vice Chancellors of Bangalore, Mysore, Karnataka, Gulbarga, Women University Bijapur and University of Agriculture Sciences Bangalore, would be the ex-officio members of the Commission, the release added.
In another order the state government also named Khaleel-Ur Rehman as the new head of Karnataka Urdu Acadamy. The names of the members are yet to be announced.
