Government orders relaxation in curfew during Sehari, Iftaar
Srinagar, Sep 1 (UNI) The Government today directed all District Magistrates to relax curfew in the Kashmir valley during the Sehari and Iftaar.
An official spokesman said in view of the holy month of Ramzan, the curfew would be relaxed between 0430 hrs to 0700 hrs and 1900 hrs to 2230 hrs to enable people to offer prayers.
Besides, the relaxation would also be implemented as per the day-to-day situation.
All the Deputy Commissioners and the District Superintendents of Police have been asked to implement these relaxations in letter and spirit prevent people from facing any inconvenience whatsoever.
The decision came at a high level Security Review Meeting held here this evening, with Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra in the chair.
The meeting reviewed the overall security situation in the State.
Present in the meeting were Advisor to Governor, S S Bloeria, Chief Secretary, S S Kapur, Principal Secretary Home, Anil Goswami, Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khuda, Director General of Police (CID), Ashok Bhan, Principal Secretary to Governor, B B Vyas, Chief of Staff, 15 Corps, Maj General D S Thakur, Addl. Director General CRPF, Karamvir Singh besides Arun Choudhry, Ministry of Home Affairs.
