German Ambassador conferred Unity International award

New Delhi, Sep 1 (UNI) German Ambassador Bernd Mutzelburg has been presented the Unity International award by Haryana Governor, for his tireless efforts to get waiver for India form the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).

''The Ambassador played a key role in this regard and his country as a chairman of the group tried to achieve consensus on this issue,'' Dr Kidwai said at the function last night.

Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yan was also felicitated on the occasion for working towards strenghtening the Indo-China relations.

The award function was presided over by former governor Bhisma Narain Singh and also attended by R N Anil, Secretary General of the Unity International.

Global head of the Aditya Birla Group Ravi Kastia and Managing Director of Reebok India S S Prem were also awarded on the occasion.
