Srinagar, Sep 1 (UNI) With the aim to make up for the loss of regular classes due to the protests and improve the education system in Governmnet Degree Colleges in the state, the Higher Education Department has instructed to conduct extra classes.
According to a circular of the department issued today, the Principals have to organise extra classes before or after the scheduled working hours, as per the convenience of each college.
The Principals have been instructed to submit weekly attendance reports in this regard to the Government through Administrative Department.
Moreover, the EDUSAT Hub Centres at Government Colleges for Women M A Road, Srinagar and Government College for Women Gandhinagar, Jammu shall be activated to organise lectures through qualified faculty members on the subject in which gaps with reference to Syllabi are more prominent.
Similarly, all the colleges having Satellite Interactive Terminals (SITs) shall ensure logging in the Terminals in accordance with the Calendar worked out by the respective Hub Centres.
The intimation about extra classes and the calendar of lectures through SITs shall be widely circulated through print and electronic media to ensure maximum coverage of the student community.
