Hyderabad, Sept 1 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today called upon the activists of the Telugu Yuvatha, the youth wing of the party, to strive hard to fight against the alleged 'anti-people' policies of the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the newly constituted state commitee of the Telugu Yuvatha after swearing ceremnony here, he asked the activists to fight against the problems of the people as the party was committed for the welfare of the people.

He said the TDP during its regime had taken up several development programmes like construction of roads, airports, sea-ports and created good infrastructure in the state. The Congress government had not taken up any steps to create employment to nearly 50 lakh unemployed youth in the state, he alleged.

He also alleged that the Congress government was resorting to vindictive attitude towards the opposition and nealry 145 TDP workers were killed by the activists of the Congess party and booked false cases against the TDP workers.

Recollecting the services rendered by the founder president of the TDP N T Rama Rao for the people of the state, he said NTR floated the party to protect the self-respect of the Telugus, which was destroyed by the Congress party over the decades. Because of Mr Rama Rao's efforts, Telugus have got recognitation from all over the world, he added.

The party constituted the Telugu Yuvatha state committee headed by B Ravichand as its President.
