Centre to lift ban on export of PUSA-1121 paddy: Hooda

Chandigarh, Sep 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said in the state assembly that the central government would lift the ban on export of PUSA-1121 variety of paddy in the larger interest of the farming community.

Making the announcement, the chief minister said this assurance was given to him when he spoke to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Finance Minister P Chidambram in this regard over phone today.

Mr Hooda had repeatedly been urging the Central Government to lift ban from export of this variety of PUSA.
