BESCOM's AEE arrested for accepting bribe

Bangalore, Sep 1 (UNI) Karnataka Lokayukta police have arrested an Assistant Executive Engineer of BESCOM, Bangalore, on the charges of accepting bribe for showing official favour.

A Lokayukta press release here today said that P M Vishveswara Swamy had demanded a bribe of Rs 3000 from Mr H S Lokesh to give power connection for his industrial shed.

The accused had already taken Rs 500 in advance and demanded the remaining amount before giving power connection.

On receiving a complaint from Mr Lokesh, the Lokayukta police, in a well laid trap on Saturday arrested Swamy while accepting the bribe.
