Bartronics receives DESFire certification
Hyderabad, Sep 1 (UNI) Bartronics India Limited, a leading provider of end-to-end-solutions based on AIDC technologies, has been certified for DESFire standard by Arsenal Research Institute.
With the new certification, Bartronics India Limited would become eligible to bid for most of the tenders for mass transit application, in which DESFire cards are extensively used world-wide, a press release said here today.
In India too, a number of government agencies, including the Indian Railways and Delhi Metro, are seeking DESFire cards.
Mifare DESFire is a registered trademark of NXP Semiconductors and is a test of DESFire cards confirming to the standard ISO/ IEC 14443. Tests include mainly the RF-interface of the cards and are vital for successful implementations.
Tendering parties rely on the fact that certified MIFARE card products from any supplier will work correctly with any certified terminal/reader from another supplier.
