AP constitutes Pay Revision Commission
Hyderabad, Sep 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh government has constituted Ninth Pay Revision Commission under the Chairmanship of retired IAS Officer C S Rao, Finance Minister K Rosaiah said today.
Replying to a question by B Mohan Reddy from the Teachers constituency during the Question Hour in the Council, the minister said the government would consider the sanction of interim relief in due course.
When members pointed out that some state governments had adopted the Centre's scales during the last pay revision and whether the state government was considering the same after the present revision, he said the relevant information was not available with the government.
When the members urged the government to get the report within six months, the minister said the state government had constituted the commission six months before the due date.
He said the commission would take a minimum of one year to study various aspects before submitting the report to the government.
