HP Assembly monsoon session begins tomorrow

Shimla, Aug 31 (UNI) The five-day monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh assembly would commence here tomorrow.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Tulsi Ram met the State Governor yesterday and apprised him of the arrangements for the session.

In the wake of serial bomb blasts in Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Jaipur, tight security arrangements will be made for the session. To view the security arrangement a meeting of official of Vidhan Sabha and state police officers was held today in the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat. The meeting was presided over by Vidhan Sabha Secretary Govardhan Singh.

The issues which are likely to be raised in the assembly include the transport arrangements being made for the apple crop, the extent of damage in the recent flash floods and rains. The Naina Devi stampede incident will also figure in the assembly.
