CPI(M) to discuss about Chiranjeevi's party on Sep 3
Rajahmundry, Aug 31 (UNI) Communist Party of India, Marxist (CPI-M) Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechuri today said the party would discuss actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi's new 'Praja Rajyam' at its secretariat meeting on September 3.
Talking to newspersons at Madhurupudi airport near here, he said the Andhra Pradesh unit of CPI(M) would take a suitable decision on forging alliance with other parties.
Mr Yechuri said the party would launch an agitation along with other like-minded parties who come forward at the national level on different issues concerning the people.
On the third front, he said the front would mainly campaign on four issues in the ensuing elections. However, he did not mention the issues.
On the Singur problem, where Trinamool Congress (TC) Chief Mamata Banerjee has launched an agitation demanding the return of 400 acres of land to the owners, allegedly acquired from them for the Tata Car project, he said the TC should respond to the issue as it resorted to agitation near the project site.
Later, he left for Kakinada to address a meeting.
