CPI, CPI(M) MPs to visit Kandhamal in Orissa

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) A delegation of CPI(M) and CPI MPs will visit the Kandhamal distric of Orissa, the scene of violence against Christians, for two days starting from tomorrow.

The district witnessed attacks on Curches and Chrstians after the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Swami Laxmananda Saraswati and some of his lowers, for which Maoist have taken responsibility, but the Hindu organisations had accused the Christians of the killings.

The delegation will comprise Gurudas Gupta, Tapan Sen, G K Chandrappan and Suresh Kurup.
