BJP's MP manifesto to be ready by Sep 15
Bhopal, Aug 31 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be ready with its manifesto by September 15 for this year's Madhya Pradesh assembly polls.
The BJP's state unit has begun preparations for the hustings by incorporating suggestions of people from different walks of life.
Furnishing details regarding compilation of suggestions from districts of every division, BJP Election Manifesto Committee Convenor Thawarchand Gehlot told reporters here today that 7,248 suggestions were received thus far from commoners, industrialists, social activists, intellectuals, farmers, labourers, students and professionals.
''Peasants topped by submitting 886 suggestions while the maximum number from an area were received from Indore division -- 1416,'' Mr Gehlot said.
Suggestions would be included in the manifesto to make it more people-oriented, he said while claiming that the BJP was the sole party in political history to gather people's suggestions to compile its manifesto.
''The BJP will retain power in the state on the basis of people's faith. The government fulfilled 90 per cent of promises mentioned in the 2003 election manifesto,'' Mr Gehlot added.
