Beware of layouts by M/s Granity: BDA

Bangalore, Aug 31: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has discovered that a private developer, M/s Granity Pvt Ltd has been cheating people by publicizing that the proposed layout of the company falls within Planning Area of Bangalore i.e. BDA limits. It has been widely advertised through newspapers, TV advertisements and by 'European Township'.

As per section 32 of BDA Act of 1976 and section 17 of Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act 1961, it is mandatory for BDA to approve any residential layouts in the area coming under Planning Area of Bangalore i.e. BDA limits. However, in this case neither the BDA has approved the layout plan nor any layout plan proposals were submitted by company for sanction. Therefore, the buyers and the related companies are solely responsible for any problems emerging out of such layouts.

BDA hereby cautions public to retrain from buying sites in unauthorised layouts. A list of BDA sanctioned layouts has been public www.bdabangalore.org
