AIADMK resorts to road blockade on power crisis

Jayankondum, Aug 31 (UNI) Hundreds of men and women, led by AIADMK MLA K Rajendran, were taken into police custody when they resorted to a ''road roko'' agitation at the Cross road here today.

Police said they were protesting against the erratic power supply which was affecting farming operations.

Mr Rajendran alleged that due to the poor handling of the issue by the DMK government, the state was facing a severe power crisis.
