Yet another DPS boy found dead in swimming pool

New Delhi, Aug 30: Just few days after Delhi woke upto a shocking suicide of a teenage girl in Delhi Public School(DPS), yet another scandal shrouds DPS. A 11-year-old boy on Friday, Aug 29 drowned in the south Delhi DPS swimming pool.

Nadir was found dead in the swimming pool of the DPS, Mathura Road in Nizamuddin area by the institution's swimming coach Arun Kumar at around 6 pm, a senior police official said. The boy was dropped at the school gate by his father Mohd Raeez, a motor mechanic who resides in Sarai Kale Khan, for the evening class at around 4 pm, the official said. According to school authorities, the official said, the boy scaled the boundary wall of the pool and fell into it.

The incident came to light when Kumar opened the entrance door to the pool and found Nadir inside it, the official said, adding the boy was immediately rushed to the nearby Sahi Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
