Uma demands CBI probe in Jhanwar murder case

Barwani, Aug 30 (UNI) Terming the murder of Bhartiya Jana Shakti leader Sanjay Jhanwar as political conspiracy, the party president Uma Bharti today demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident.

Mr Jhanwar was shot dead by some unidentified gunmen here on July 24 last.

Ms Bharti, who came to the slain leader's ancestral village at Sedhwa to express her condolence to the bereaved faimily members, said Mr Jhanwar gave a tough fight as party candidate from the two Assembly constituencies in the last elections, which was a matter of concern for his rivals.

'' I am confident that the late leader would have given trouble to his opponents in the coming Assembly polls too.'', Ms Bharti said.

The former state Chief Minister said although the police had taken action agaisnt some accused in the case but did not make them accused, who instigated to eliminate the BJS leader.

She said no stone would be unturned to put them behind bars, who were encouraged by the murder of Mr Jhanwar.
