SP targets MP CM's Yatra
Raisen, MP, Aug 30 (UNI) Samajwadi Party Madhya Pradesh unit President Narayan Tripathy today alleged that the vehicle being used as a rath in Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' was plying illegally.
''The vehicle, brought from (neighbouring) Gujarat, is neither registered there nor was tax paid in either state. I have solid proof. If the vehicle is not registered in ten days then SP workers will stop the rath and protest,'' he told mediapersons here.
Transport Office sources said that no vehicle should ply sans registration for more than a week and if the vehicle belonged to another state then a temporary permit was provided for a maximum 30 days. The owner should furnish information of change of place else action is taken under the Motor Vehicle Act.
Mr Chouhan began the 18-day Yatra from Ujjain on August 28 with the objective of visiting 115 assembly constituencies.
