Passport racket involving policemen unearthed, 3 held

Nizamabad, Aug 30 (UNI) Police unearthed a passport racket, involving policemen, with the arrest of two head constables and a passport agent from Kamareddy.

Police said the head constables were placed under suspension and also wrote to higher-ups for suspension of two other head constables for allegedly providing wrong verification reports after taking bribe.

During investigation, it was revealed that those, who had been deported from the Gulf countries used to approach the head- constables through the passport agent for fresh passports by giving wrong informations.

Efforts were on to nab others involved in the racket, police added.
