Noted columnist Krishnaswamy Iyengar passes away
Mysore, Aug 30 (UNI) Noted Kannada columnist and writer H S Krishnaswamy Iyengar died of heart attack at a private hospital here last night.
He was 88 and is survived by his son and daughter.
Popularly known as HSK, he had written several books on Kannada literature, besides books on commerce and economics, both in Kannada and English.
He has also edited a number of books, including 'Avalokana,' published as part of the World Kannada Conference held in Mysore in 1983.
HSK was the recipient of several awards, including the Kannada Sahitya Academy Award in 1980 and the Karnataka Patrika Academy Award in 1996.
The funeral will be held today.
