Nihang chief Baba Ajit Singh cremated
Amritsar, Aug 30: On Saturday, Aug 30, Tarna Dal Nihang chief Baba Ajit Singh Poohla was cremated at the 'Nihang Chhawni' in Baba Bakala sub-division in Amritsar. A large number of Nihangs were present on the occasion. Baba Poohla's nephew lit the funeral pyre.
According to SSP (rural) Iqbaal Singh, the Nihang Baba was cremated without any untoward incident. The Baba died on Friday, Aug 29 in the PGI Chandigarh after he sustained serious burn injuries when two jail inmates set him afire in Amritsar Central jail on August 28.
