Major fire in Indian Oil building
Noida, Aug 30 (UNI) A massive fire broke out here at the Indian Oil building in sector 20 this evening.
According to Superintendent of Police Ashok Tripathi, 11 electricians were carrying out repairs on the fourth floor when a short circuit sparked off the fire.
Four workers were trapped. Three of them jumped off the fourth floor of the building and suffered injuries. Efforts were on to save Dinesh Sharma, who failed to escape.
The injured were first taken to the district hospital and from there they were shifted to Kailash Hospital.
Twelve fire engines from Noida and Delhi have been deployed to douse the flames.
The incident led to a major disruption in traffic on the Delhi-Noida highway, police said.
