LDF calls for 10 per cent reservation for forward communities

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 30 (UNI) The ruling Left Democratc front (LDF) in Kerala today recommended to the state government to provide ten per cent reservation in government colleges to the poor from forward communities without disturbing the existing reservation policy.

Briefing newspersons after a meeting of the LDF, its Convener Vaikom Viswan said today's meeting had also asked the government to ensure less fees in 50 per cent seats before sanctioning self-financing professional colleges.
