Kumar Mangalam Birla bags 'Prof Ravi J Mathai' award

New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) Aditya Birla Group, Chairman, Kumar Mangalam Birla was honoured with prestigious 'Prof Ravi J Mathai Award' at a function in Welingkar Institute of Management (WIM).

''Being the elite contributor to management education along with one of the best entrepreneurs in the country and the real thought leader he has been honored with this award for this year,'' said a statement.

WIM Director Prof Uday Salunkhe handed over the award yesterday to Mr Birla at the 20th AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) Annual Management Convention here.

''Receiving an award by the name of Prof Ravi J Mathai is the real honour and I am obliged with it. I would like to thank AIMS for this award,'' Mr Birla said.

AIMS was formed in 1988 as a network of management schools in the country.

It has has a network of about 400 management schools in the country including Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Xavier Institutes, ISB, Welingkar, NMIMS, ICFAI, MDI, and S P Jain.
