India A-Australia A cricket will generate enthuasism: Katich
Bangalore, Aug 30 (UNI) Simon Katich, the Captain of the touring Australia 'A' Cricket team now in India to play tri-series, today said the series will provide enough excitement that goes with any clash between the two countries.
The 'A' teams from Australia, India and New Zealand will clash in the one-day tri-series to be played in Chennai and Hyderabad.
Before that Australia and India would play two three-day matches in Bangalore and Hyderabad respectively, with the first match beginning in the city on September 3.
Speaking to newspersons here Katich, who is heading a 14-member youthful 'A' team said, "During the last seven years beginning in 2001, we have had some amazing games especially in test cricket.
This three-day games will not be different," he said.
Attaching a greater importance to the current Indian tour, he said that better performance by Australian youngsters would help them to get into the senior side.
"Opportunities beckon them both spin and quick bowling department and the batters can also stake their claims to join Senior team," he said.
