Five naxalites arrested in south Bihar, arms seized

Gaya, Aug 30 (UNI) At least five members of the underground 'Revolutionary Communist Centre'(RCC), a naxalite group, were arrested by the district police from two villages near here this evening and a catche of arms and ammunition were recovered from them.

Police sources said acting on a tip-off that two senior RCC leaders had arrived at Tikabigha village near here, a team of district armed police raided the village and arrested the duo.

Following their interrogation another police team raided the nearby Kharajpur village and rounded up three more insurgents.

Two rifles, one revolver, several rounds of live cartridges and some literatures were recovered from them.

All the arrested were being interrogated,the sources informed.
