Eyewitness in Delhi serial blasts case records statement
New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) A local court today recorded the statement of an eyewitness of the serial bomb blasts that rocked the national capital on October 29, 2005.
Eyewitness Dr D K Tanwar an official of Forensic Science Laboratory deposed before the court of Additional Sessions Judge Babu Lal in the Delhi serial blasts case.
Tanwar, deposed before the court that the voice of prime accused Tariq Ahmed Dar matches with the recorded voice.
Special cell of Delhi Police has recorded the conversation of Tariq with the Pakistan based LeT militants.
A Delhi police head-constable Mahesh Pal also recorded his statement before the court.
At least 70 people were killed and several injured in three powerful serial explosions in the city on that fateful day.
The first explosion took place in Paharganj, the second occurred inside a DTC bus at Govindpuri and the third and most powerful one at the Sarojini Nagar market.
