DDMs charged with dereliction of duty; stipend stopped

Ghazipur, Aug 30 (UNI) The district adminsitration had ordered to stop the payment of salaries of five Deputy District Magistartes (DDM) and three Gazetted officers for giving deaf ear to public grievances.

Ghazipur District Majistrate Ritu Maheshwari has ordered to stop stipend of Jamniya, Jakhniya, Saidpur, Ghazipur (sadar) and Muhammadabad DDMs and power department administrative engineer, district basic education officer and district panchayat raj officer, official sources said.

The officials were charged with not hearing the public grievances and slow disposal of complaints.

The officials had been warned of speedy disposal of the queued-up complaints within a week or else to face the music.
