Criminals looted medico's family

Hardoi, Aug 30 (UNI) Armed miscreants robbed a government doctor's family in Kotwali area here today.

Four men barged into the house of Dr Pratvendra Verma, posted at the district hospital here, at gun point, police said.

After failing to trace the locker keys, they attempted to break open it, however, did not succeed.

Later, they robbed of Mr Verma's wife of her jewellery and fled the scene locking her and children in a room, police added.

A case had been registered and police initiated a vehicle checking drive, however, criminals were still at large.
